Hobbit / LOTR Drinking Game

Ok, so on New year’s eve my mum and I were watching the Hobbit movies. I basically (accidentally) turned it into a drinking game by taking a drink when Smaug was said. So I decided to make an entire drinking game for both the Hobbit movies, and the Lord Of The Rings movies.
Be careful if you’re playing the drinking game while watching the extended versions! Don’t over do it.

Here it is:

*NOTE: Some can be used in both*

  • Somebody says Smaug or dragon
  • Bilbo is called ‘burglar’
  • The Dwarves are counted or named in succession; in any given order (By Dwarves I mean the company of Thorin Oakenshield. So they would be Thorin, Fili, Kili, Balin, Dwalin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Nori, Dori, Ori, Oin, Gloin)
  • Thorin hates Elves
  • All 13 Dwarves are seen at one time
  • Something is decapitated
  • ‘Precious’ or ‘My Precious’ is said
  • CGI was clearly used for height differences (I.E an Elf /Human / Wizard with a Dwarf / Hobbit. I.E Gandolf, Bilbo, and Thorin)
  • A character’s lineage is given (I.E Aragorn son of Arathorn, Thorin son of Thrain etc)
  • Close up of the ring
  • Gandolf says something vague and mysterious
  • Legolas looks into the distance
  • Legolas hits / kills something with an arrow
  • Anytime a giant statue or old statue in ruins is seen
  • Sauron is mentioned
  • Eye of Sauron is seen
  • Ringwraith appearance (per scene, not per Ringwraith)
  • A hobbit is seen eating and or mentions food
  • Sam says ‘Mr Frodo’
  • Elvish is spoken or seen in writing
  • Gollum says ‘Gollum Gollum’

  • You may quote lines with the movie in unison; but if you fail and get the line wrong take 3 drinks
